Be Radically In Love With Yourself

One of the things I most love to share with my clients is a reminder that loving oneself is an act of rebellion in a world that benefits from (and profits off of) self-hate. Look around, how often do you see ads and commercials with reminders of how inherently lovable you are? Not often, right?
How about songs? Movies? Messages at work? In school? Still not often. (It's why I created this playlist)
Now look for the opposite. Examples of messages that point to something "wrong" with you.
Everywhere, the message is, "Be dissatisfied with who you are, where you are, who you are. And also, buy this product that's the solution". This sugar, this chemical, this procedure, this app.
Or, "Be dissatisfied with what you've accomplished in life. And also, chase this external validation, with ever-changing goal posts, to satisfy that feeling of emptiness and discontent. And maybe get drunk regularly, too"
"Be dissatisfied".
How can you bring yourself to a space of peace, joy, purpose, anything, with that constant hum in the background of your subconscious and mind? Always hungry for something that never quite arrives.
So.. be a rebel.
Be satisfied. Be in love with yourself. Be proud of yourself.
Be proud of that progress you made on your website.
Be happy with the sweet soul that you are.
Be honored by the sparkle of your eye.
Be in awe of your charm and ability to create long-lasting friends.
Be satisfied.
And also, be ok with wanting more, without beating yourself up for where you are.
Be satisfied.
Know that anything that tries to get you to feel bad about yourself likely benefits from it.
So you'll buy something from them.
Or so you'll stick around, not paying attention to toxic behavior.
Or so you'll keep producing for them, at the cost of your own health.
Be satisfied.
Be a rebel.
Love the hell out of yourself.
And, every day, do it a little bit more.
Then watch what happens.
